On the first weekend of June Sammy Brown will visit Clemson Football

Sammy Brown will visit Clemson Football

In 2022, Clemson Football made a significant adjustment to its recruiting strategy, which was successful.
According to early indications, the Tigers will continue using that adjustment in the hopes of achieving similar outcomes.

Sammy Brown, a highly sought-after 2023 linebacker, has said that he will visit Clemson on June 3, which is the first weekend of the month.
According to the 247Sports Composite ranking, Brown is a 5-star prospect.
He is the top linebacker prospect overall and is ranked 13th nationally.

The first weekend in June of last year marked Clemson’s first significant official visit weekend under Coach Dabo Swinney.
On campus, the Tigers welcomed nearly twenty incoming seniors.

Following that official weekend, Clemson received twelve verbal commitments over the month of June.
Brown is a significant recruit, therefore it stands to reason that the Tigers want for the first weekend of June to be another significant turning point in their search for 2023 prospects.

Prior to 2022, Clemson often did not receive any official visits from prospects.
Instead, they would invite them to a game in Death Valley during the season when the prospect could go.

It makes sense to repeat the official visit weekend in 2023 after the tremendous success of 2022.

High school prospects are eager to pledge sooner due to several changes in the recruiting environment over the past few years.
Many of those prospects desired to verbally commit before the start of their high school football senior season.
Before Clemson could ever bring those candidates in for official interviews, they would have verbally committed.

Coach Swinney and the team changed their recruitment tactics after they noticed how the wind was blowing.
The Tigers appear to be repeating similar plan in 2023 after the success of the official visit weekend in 2022.

How quickly the June guest list will be finalized is still unknown.
During the spring, a number of prospects are likely to pay unofficial visits, and their invitations are most likely to be delivered in person.
The list of June visitors will probably start to take shape before the spring game on April 15th, as many of those visits will occur during spring practice.

Regarding Brown, this declaration alone seems to be a significant victory for the Tigers.
The first weekend in June has also seen official visits to Georgia.
It would seem Georgia expects to have official visitors as well, since one Bulldog recruit has already stated that he will travel to Athens for an official visit that weekend.
Brown announced that he will attend Clemson’s big weekend rather than the Bulldogs’, beating Georgia to the punch.
