Meet the Region’s Top College Football Prospects Before High School Football Season Begins in 2023.

The start of the high school football season is August 25.

he players from the Press of Atlantic City area who have committed to or received offers from Football Bowl Subdivision or Football Championship Subdivision colleges are listed below.

Blakely, who had 48 tackles as a rookie, eight of which were for losses, has received scholarship offers from West Virginia and Pittsburgh.

Last season, Brooks caught 69 receptions for 1,089 yards, 14 touchdowns, and helped Millville win the state Group IV championship. Twelve institutions, including Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, Penn State, Rutgers, and Syracuse, have offered Brooks scholarships.

Carter has received scholarships from Delaware State, Rhode Island, Sacred Heart, and Morgan State. Carter recorded three interceptions and 42 tackles in the previous season.

Degraffenreidt scholarships have been made available by Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, South Carolina, Duke, Vanderbilt, Maryland, Penn State, Temple, and Cincinnati. Last season, he hauled in 51 catches for 894 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Haile has pledged to attend Syracuse. Last season, he hauled in 48 catches for 680 yards and three touchdowns.

Isom has had scholarship offers from Marist, Brown, and Saint Anselm as well as chances to continue playing football. Isom is a great lineman for South Jersey. He set the example for the Hermits’ effective rushing attack. On defense, he recorded 42 tackles and 5 sacks.

6-2 220 sophomores DE/LB

Jones has received scholarships from Rutgers, West Virginia, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Michigan, and Temple.

Nasir Mahmoud

5-11 170 senior WR/DB

William & Mary has received Mahmoud’s commitment. Last season, he caught 35 receptions for St. Joseph Academy, totaling 526 yards and four touchdowns.

Tristan McLeer

5-11 182 senior RB/DB

McLeer has received a scholarship from Poughkeepsie, New York’s Marist College. Last season, McLeer ran for 464 yards and six touchdowns in addition to making 39 tackles and intercepting two passes.

Maine and Rhode Island have offered thsi standout scholarships.

Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, has received Parks’ commitment. Last season, he hauled in 45 catches for 789 yards and six touchdowns.

Smith has received scholarships from Monmouth, Stony Brook, and New Hampshire. He ran for 1,670 yards and 21 touchdowns on 221 occasions last season.

Braswell Thomas

6-2 185 junior WR/DB

He caught 35 passes for 506 yards and four TDs last season. Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Georgia have offered Thomas scholarships.

Hunter Watson

6-5 225 senior LB/TE

Watson has committed to Holy Cross. He made 81 tackles, 17 for losses last season. Watson also recovered five fumbles, one for a TD.

Khalil Witherspoon

Witherspoon has committed to Old Dominion. He caught six TD passes last season.

Jacob Zamot

6-1 200 senior quarterback

Zamot threw 3,180 yards and 27 TDs last season. Delaware State, Maine, Merrimack, Rhode Island and Sacred Heart have offered him scholarships.
